Why Uninformed? Why Optimism?

I'm an idea guy. Or at least that is what people tell me. In the past few weeks I've had ten people tell me that I "always have a new idea" or "are always up to something" - and I guess they are right. In fact, that is what is usually going through my mind: ideas. However, most of the time they stay at the idea stage, where I can talk about them to my family and friends with excitement and exuberance. Thus, the term "uninformed optimism". I did not create this term, and when you google it, there are 552,000 results.

But, I recently read a blog post by Cameron Herold on Tim Ferriss' blog here. In this post he describes the "Transition Curve":

I'm not exactly sure who came up with the term "uninformed optimism" or the "transition curve" (hopefully I'll do some research and put it up here in a later post), but I do know that it applies to me. I constantly live in a state of optimism, mostly because I am uninformed. I love coming up with new ideas, regardless if they are applicable to my life or not. So this blog is a place for those ideas to materialize, and maybe inspire someone else to action. I keep telling myself that all you need is one "really amazing idea", but I think I've changed my mindset to accept the fact that delivering new idea after new idea may be just as fun.
